Description:The plan above shows the ground floor layout of the Trentham Hotel in the late nineteenth century. The areas coloured brown on the plan show rooms and facilities which were already in existence when the plan was made. The pink coloured areas mark out proposed additions to the hotel's ground floor, including a 'Billiard Room' and functional rooms such as a larder and scullery. The hotel featured a large 'General Dining Room' for guests with an entrace to the hotel's gardens. A coffee room with a bay window was situated next to a parlour and a bar was located near a tap room by the stairs next to the kitchen.
