Description:Cuttings from The Morning Post indicate that significant events in the conflict were reported in brief in a section entitled ‘War News in a Line’, which gave an overview of the days events, including updates on military strategy and public information. One entry reads: ‘motorists whose cars have not been taken for military purposes should...assist local producers and distributors of foodstuffs whose horses have been taken by the War Office’. The cuttings suggest that this type of daily report featured in most newspapers, a cutting from The Times including a section entitled ‘The War Day by Day’.
