Description:Sir Walter died in Fleet Prison in 1602, leaving many of these debts unpaid. However, documents relating to the period of his imprisonment suggest that Sir Walter left his debts for his son Sir Richard Leveson (c.1570-1605) to pay. In one document Sir Walter states that ‘Sir Richard shall satisfie and paye the somes of mony therein conteyned’.
