Description:The pink area on the plan featured above shows the land donated by the third Duke of Sutherland for the expansion of Hanford School.

The area of land was situated next to the Vicarage in Hanford, near to Hanford Church on the road from Trent Vale. The site was located near to the road from Trentham to Longton, connecting areas on the Duke's Staffordshire Estates.
