Description:This final page of the Subscription list tells us that the Duke of Sutherland gave £711 and 15 shillings to various local and national charities and societies in 1910. Christmas meal funds, money to repair Church towers and donations to the RSPCA feature on this page, alongside a donation of ten pounds to the 'Trentham Church Organ Fund'. The Subscription list for 1910 reveals that the Duke and Duchess of Sutherland were involved as patrons of many local and national groups, supporting religious and benevolent groups in England and Scotland, from local sporting clubs to national associations such as the National Defence Association.
