Description:In her letter of acceptance to the Queen, Duchess Anne writes that she is ‘deeply grateful’ for the Queen’s offer. She adds ‘I need hardly say that it will be the greatest happiness to me to accept of it’. Anne also comments on the health of her sister-in-law Elizabeth, noting ‘I feel now that by the blessing of God we may have every hope of her recovery, though I fear not to her former strength’.
