Description:After being presented with the rota, the Queen would make amendments to suit her arrangements and a final rota would be drawn up. The document featured above, dated December 1850, includes copies of notes made by the Queen relating to her amendments such as: 'I should suggest Lady Gainsborough’s having a fortnight in July & Lady Portman the other fortnight'. The document includes copies of the final rotas for the different ‘Ladies Waits for 1851’, including the ‘Ladies of the Bedchamber’, ‘Maids of Honour’ and ‘Bedchamber Women’.
