Description:Many of Prentice’s letters include remarks about his family life and employment with the Sutherland family. In the letter above he tells Mrs. Ingram that he and his family had been allowed to stay inside Dunrobin Castle while the family were there. He writes ‘last year we had to walk sometimes at 12 at night raining and Blowing to much for an umbrella and then found no fireplace in our Bedroom’.
