Description:A further letter from Colonel Cotes refers again to the Owens in Eccleshall. Complaining about George Owen, Cotes writes ‘a greater young scamp does not exist & when in drink capable of any mischief’. He goes on to describe George Owen’s father as a troublemaker who ‘sets all the village against the people in power’.
