Description:The document above is entitled ‘Index to the Arrangement of the Drawings, according to the nature of the work’. These papers list drawings of design features in Stafford House produced by Wyatt. Many of the drawings listed are annotated with comments, a number of which state that the drawings were ‘needless’. Referring to two drawings of ‘Glass Frames and Wall Panels’ for the lobby, annotations tell us that the drawings ‘would have been needless’ if a number of other drawings had been supplied. Another ornamental drawing of ‘Entablature & Ceiling’ is described similarly as ‘not needed the general arrangement being shewn on 117 & full size drawings given’.
