Description:West Hill’s extensive lands included a productive garden where vegetables and fruit were grown. The Inventory lists a ‘Flower Gardeners House’ which appears to have had one living room and an adjoining bedroom. The Gardener himself had a larger property, which included a scullery, kitchen and two bedrooms. The Gardener also had his own shed. The Inventory also describes the ‘Garden Mens House’ which had a sitting room and bedroom complete with stove and bed.
