Description:Institutions such as clothing clubs, Sunday schools and local charities were able to open savings accounts at the Lilleshall Savings Bank.

The image above shows the Depositors' Check Book for the British Union Society. Dated 1836, the book tells us that the account was held by a lady called Mrs. Elizabeth Balls at Oaken Gates. The book also states that Dr Andrew Hayward and John Reynolds were Stewards for the Society, and a man called James Smith was the Secretary.

Other institutions represented in the Depositors' Check Books include the Donnington Wood Female Clothing Club.
