Date:16th of September 1790

Description:This letter dated the 16th September 1790 tells us about a disagreement between the Marquis of Stafford's Colliery Superintendent Thomas Heath and a number of Gentleman Potters at Hanley.

The letter written by Thomas Heath refers to the 'divers reflection' which had been cast on his character. The Gentleman Potters had complained at being 'aggrieved at his conduct towards them'.

The document suggests that Heath wanted to resolve the disagreement, as he offers to appoint a time to meet and discuss the matter with the Gentleman Potters.
