Description:This document provides an account of dwelling houses and a list of the names of people who built the houses upon the site of Granville Leveson-Gower (1721-1803), the Marquis of Stafford's colliery in Shelton, (lists taken January 20th 1796).

The lists state how long the houses had been erected, and also names some of the jobs people did. Painting shops, Pot works, Crate makers and New Hall china works are listed.

The second list provides details of payments to sundry persons for damage done to their lands by the Marquis of Stafford's mining works.
