Description:The Millicent Sutherland Ambulance disbanded at the end of the war in November 1918. The printed diary of the Unit from 1918 reflects on the end of the Unit’s life, the entry for November 22nd 1918 reading: ‘I think we shall all look back on it as a wonderful time, and a happy useful life we led, unspoilt by discord and jealousy, and I am sure we truly earned our name out there as “the happiest hospital in France”’.
