Description:The Butler at West Hill had a sleeping room in the Basement of the house. A stove and fender were housed in this room, alongside a ‘Mahogany folding linen airer’ and a ‘Fourpost Bedstead’. This bedstead had ‘Mahogany carved Gothic feet pillars’.

Three ‘black stained’ chairs lived in the room, alongside a folding mahogany basinstand, with ‘Utensil and Brush tray’. A number of tables and cupboards furnished the room, accompanied by ‘a Wainscot Chest’.
