Date:1824

Description:The Nursery at West Hill contained two bedsteads and also ‘two rush seat black stained childrens chairs’. The room also featured a number of lockable presses with shelves, one of which was ‘Satinwood painted’. The nursery also featured ‘an oval bathing tub’ and ‘a large white bason’. The list of furniture for the nursery suggests that the children bathed and slept in the nursery, where shelved presses housed their toys and belongings.
