How much bread and beer was distributed in 1811?

Description:The Lodge Porter's Book contains an account of the amount of bread which was distributed 'to the travelling poor at the Lodge Gates' from June 24th to December 31st 1811. This amounted to a total of 906 loaves. An additional note in the accounts records that one loaf of bread had been 'given to the Turtle doves'.

The account also states that between 24th June 1811 and 16th April 1812 sixteen hogsheads of beer had been given out to the travelling poor from the Lodge Gates.
