Description:The Lodge Porter's Book for 1810-1811 contains an account of the number of loaves of bread received from the baker each month. Alongside this account is a record of the number of loaves which were distributed amongst the 'travelling poor'.

From June 19th to July 5th sixty nine loaves were received from the baker. All of these loaves were distributed between June 19th and July 7th 1810.

On the next page of the book is an account for the number of 'Hogsheads' of beer received from the brewer and distributed to poor people. The account states that one and a half hogsheads of beer were distributed 'to the Travelling poor at the Lodge Gates' on July 9th 1810.
