Description:The Sutherland Collection contains many commercial advertisements from the early Twentieth Century. Amongst these is an advertisement from 'James Pain & Sons' who provided equipment for 'displays of fireworks and illuminations'. The large leaflet promotes 'coloured lights and fireworks' for the 'illumination of yachts' and also for 'signal lights and rockets'.

Amongst the fireworks advertised are 'rockets with brilliant stars', 'roman candles' and 'superior coloured rockets'.
