Description:Amongst the loose papers enclosed in volumes of Duchess Harriet's accounts and vouchers are receipts for the Duchess's subscriptions to local charities. One receipt dated October 10th 1856 is for ‘the sum of six pounds six shillings being one years subscription to the North Staffordshire Infirmary for 1856’.
